چکیده

This paper describes how PDDL2.1 level 3 may be used to encode timed literals as well as goals with deadlines, which means that planners that have been designed to reason with PDDL2.1 level 3 will not need to be modified in order to solve problems containing timed literals and goals with deadlines. Two encodings are introduced and some preliminary results are presented. In light of these results the paper then describes how simple modifications made to the planner LPGP enable it to solve problems containing timed literals and goals with deadlines more effectively.

Extended Critical Paths in Temporal Planning

Timed initial literals refer to a recently added feature to the problem domain description language PDDL. Besides the modelling perspective to express exogenous events, this language extension allows to impose deadlines to action execution and to select temporal plans of high quality. For efficiently solving problems with explicit timing requirements, the work in this paper extends a two-stage ...

UPMurphi Released: PDDL+ Planning for Hybrid Systems

In this tool paper, we present the release of UPMurphi, a universal planner for PDDL+ domains. Planning for hybrid domains has found increasing attention in the planning community, motivated by the need to address more realistic scenarios. While a number of techniques for planning with a subset of PDDL+ domains have been proposed, UPMurphi is able to handle the full range of PDDL+ features, inc...

PDDL The Language for the Classical Part of the th International Planning Competition

This document de nes the language to be used in the classical part of the th International Planning Competition IPC The language comprises all of PDDL levels and as de ned by Maria Fox and Derek Long in parts of this document have been copied from that source On top of this language for IPC derived predicates are re introduced and timed initial literals are newly introduced into the competition...

PDDL 2 . 2 : The Language for the Classical Part of IPC - 4 — extended abstract — Stefan

Introduction The 3rd International Planning Competition, IPC-3, was run by Derek Long and Maria Fox. The competition focussed on planning in temporal and metric domains. For that purpose, Fox and Long developed the PDDL2.1 language (Fox & Long 2003), of which the first three levels were used in IPC-3. Level 1 was the usual STRIPS and ADL planning, level 2 added numeric variables, level 3 added ...

Planning with Problems Requiring Temporal Coordination

We present the first planner capable of reasoning with both the full semantics of PDDL2.1 (level 3) temporal planning and with numeric resources. Our planner, CRIKEY3, employs heuristic forward search, using the start-and-end semantics of PDDL2.1 to manage temporal actions. The planning phase is interleaved with a scheduling phase, using a Simple Temporal Network, in order to ensure that tempor...
